The social media furore over jockey Anthony Allen’s fall from Far Cry in the opener at Dalby on Thursday may be silenced by the stewards' front-on vision of the start.

Far Cry opened the $3.20 favourite but drifted to $4.40 before jumping clearly in front, but when she was about a length clear after 100m, Allen was unseated.

The side-on shot of the race wasn’t flattering to Allen, but the front-on footage, obtained by Betsy, showed the filly ducking in a couple of horses and catapulting the jockey from the saddle.

Allen was uninjured in the fall and cleared by ambulance officers at the track.

Stewards are still looking at the betting records from the race and have noted the incident in their report.

The race was fought out by two well-backed runners, which started $3.10 equal favourites, with Halfachance beating Mishani Witness by three-quarters of a length.
