Summary of Best Bets:

Best Value: Race 7 No.7 Vermicella EW

We head to the Sapphire Coast for the Country Championship Qualifier, the track is rated a Soft 7 which is key when dissecting this race. Vermicella goes on top, she has a terrific fresh record and has trialled up well over the 1000m at Queanbeyan. She maps to get a lovely sit in behind the speed and has a terrific wet track profile.

Canadian Ruler brings back to back wins to this event, the latest in town over 1400m. Sticks to that trip and should land up on speed from gate 3. Everido impressed fresh with a smart Canterbury win, 1100m to 1400m with 16 days between runs is the query, wet is no issue. Rose Aye did get all favours last time out with a hot leaders/rails day at Rosehill, up to 1400m on a wet track is the big concern, $2.70 looks short. Martini Mumma rounds out the numbers, underrated last start effort and maps a treat here.

Selections:
7 Vermicella
1 Canadian Ruler
4 Everido
15 Rose Aye
