Punter lands $100,000 with perfect Pick 6

A keen punter won a staggering $100,000 on Saturday after taking out Bet365’s pick 6 competition.

The competition involves picking six winners from a selection of races, with prizes paid out if you pick four, five or six winners.

The more you pick right, the more cash you collect. The races on Saturday were 7,8,9 at Caulfield and Randwick.

And on Saturday, one savvy punter got the lot.

The punter picked Big Wigs [$3.60] in the Showdown, Sixties [$1.55] in the Pharlap Stakes, Birdman [$3.20] in the Peter Young Stakes, Salty Pearl [$2] in the Platinum Guineas and Lazzura [$5] in the Coolmore Classic.

The punter’s longest hope was Crystal Clear in the Ajax Stakes, which was priced $5.50.

The Bet365 player was the lone competitor to pick all 6, claiming the entire $100,000 jackpot.

According to Bet365, 149 players picked five from six and won $67 each.

Another 1,350 players tipped four from six, collecting $3.70 each.
