Globe scratched from Cox Plate
After connections paid the $200,000 late entry Globe has been scratched from the Cox Plate by RV vets.
The likely leader in the Cox Plate has been scratched on Thursday morning.
Connections of Globe paid up the $200,000 late acceptance fee after the seven-year-old beat Treasurethe Moment and Buckaroo in the Might And Power.
The horse worked this morning, with Michael Kent Jnr telling SEN his track rider reported he "felt fantastic".
On the pending vet inspection, Kent Jnr went on to say, "we like to work in with the vets, we believe they're usually correct, and if they say he's not right to run then he won't run".
However, the horse was due to be inspected by Racing Victoria vets at around 9.30am this morning and he has subsequently been ruled out of the race.
Following Globe's scratching, Price Kent Racing took to Twitter to confirm the scratching, with the horse now set to spell ahead of the autumn.
RV vets have just withdrawn Globe from the Cox Plate and I totally agree.
He will spelled and prepare for the autumn.
