Gibbo's Blackbook

Gibbo has gone around the grounds with this week's blackbook, finding horses right across the eastern seaboard.

Gibbo hasn't confined himself to Queensland for this week's blackbook, he's taken a look at races in Sydney and Melbourne as well.

Randwick Race 6 - Caballus: Promised a heap this horse but has had to be gelded along the way. The trials leading into Saturday were fantastic and the run just as good. Got back in this race but went past a horse like Generosity like she was standing still. Not sure where they go with him from here but in a good stable and they will make the right call.

Randwick Race 8 - Sabaj: Joined the Price/Kent stable during the spell and they backed this with a heap of confidence. No luck at all and attacked the line late. No doubt it should have been in the finish, and they are nowhere near the ceiling with this bloke yet.

Eagle Farm Race 5 - Petticoat: Northern Rivers horse who has won or placed in eight of 12. She has the good on speed or just off leaders’ pattern and doesn’t mind a fight. As long as this effort didn’t flatten her too much she can win one soon.

Caulfield Race 3 - Classic Gem: I considered not throwing this in the blackbook, simply because she is most likely going down the Group 1 three-year-old fillies path and will be taking on the best of the best. She just looks a genuine stayer to me and liked the way she worked through the line. Was the best L200m and could surprise a few and land in the money somewhere in a big race.
