- The rail is out +4m for the entire circuit and if the track is wet, runners are likely to be advantaged away from the inside.
- Based on recent meetings under similar conditions, there is a slight edge to horses able to settle on speed.

IMPENDING WAR was in the market to win when resuming at Werribee two weeks ago managing to finish 3rd. I'm giving him some excuses from that run when he was wide the trip and suggest he could be an improver in this race fitter now and with a potentially softer run.
