Turf Talk:
- True Entire – with the dry track and rail true, expect a very even track with tempo likely to dictate overall.
Race 1
Interesting race to kick off proceedings here over the 1600m. The sharp rise in trip last start saw Blue Eyed Brigid find immense improvement with a dominant 4L win. The extra 100m and inside draw should see this filly land on speed and improve further. Santatime gets a key jockey change with senior Jason Collett going aboard; the concern though is concussion plates going on the front and the wide gate. Rose Water comes through the same lead-up as Santatime, peak fitness now and gets T. Lloyd in the saddle. Outside of that, Wittelsbach rounds out the numbers.Selections:
8. Blue Eyed Brigid
2. Santatime
6. Rose Water
7. Wittelsbach
Suggested Bet – Blue Eyed Brigid WIN
Race 4
Cracking race on paper — it has somewhat thinned out post-scratchings, but the top three in the market look metro types. Fornelli looks big odds here; she brings impressive trial form as well as fast times overall. 1100m is a slight query, but in the small field she should land on speed and give a big sight at odds. Jarrito is clearly the horse to beat — the 1100m horse of the field and looks to have come back in outstanding order judging by her trials. I Am Carrot has been gelded into this prep and has caught the eye at the trials, though 1100m is short of his best. Admire Me is next best.Selections:
8. Fornelli
9. Jarrito
2. I Am Carrot
6. Admire Me
Suggested Bet – Fornelli WIN
